Coast Academy is centrally located in Downtown Gulfport!
We’re dedicated to providing the highest quality of early childhood development and education for the children of the families we serve. We love our community and look forward to being a crucial part of the development of our new and young citizens. We understand each child is unique and our love for learning approach encompasses Left and Right Brain Skills. These skills are filled with an interactive & exciting hands-on approach to learning.
Our Experienced & Devoted Staff create the positive and encouraging environment children thrive in. Within our 18,000 Square foot facility, rooted in the historical St. Johns Elementary School Building, our children enjoy ample space to interact and move around in a safe and hospitable setting.
Left Brain Activities
Inspiring Creativity & Instilling Knowledge through left brain activities may assist with analytical thinking, logic & details. Language concepts, learning through repetition and listening to detail instructions are skills associated with left brain activities. Brain Dominance helps identify the unique individuality of each child. Being exposed to both left and right brain activities help to identify a child’s strength while engaging in balanced development through logic and creativity.
Right Brain Activities
Through imaginative play, artistic creativity and music concepts, right Brain activities may assist with emotional intelligence & Visualization. A Child’s right Brain typically develops first and during these early years creative narratives and developmental play utilizing puzzles and block building Strengthens this side of thinking. Engaging the whole brain, through left & right developmental skills helps to create a vast array of long term skills and abilities.
